Darcy Damstedt is a Certified American Quilter's Society (AQS) Appraiser.  She has been a quiltmaker for over 20 years, and a quilt enthusiast all her life.  She successfully completed the AQS Appraiser Certification classes "Beyond Insurance/Fair Market and Donation Appraisals" and "Insurance Value Appraisals."  She has taken many classes in quilt history and continues to study all areas of quiltmaking and history.  She was a hand quilting professional for about seven years and has a vast knowledge of quilting and construction techniques.  She maintains an extensive library on quiltmaking and quilt history which she continues to keep current.  She has been a member of the Needles and Friends Quilt Guild since 1990, and has served in many capacities, including President.  She has taught classes on construction and hand quilting techniques, and has given trunk shows locally.  She has also served as a judge for area quilt shows.  She is a member of the Utah Quilt Appraisers Study Group.
