Rock Ribbons Quilt by Carol Johnson The Great Salt Lake Area of the Utah Quilt Guild meets the 1st Thursday of every month, usually in the Commission Chambers in the North Building at the Salt Lake County Complex located at 2001 South State. This is the Place Heritage Park by Elaine CarlsonShowings of the wonderful antique quilt collection at the Park are available to quilting groups by making an appointment with Elaine Carlson at 801-489-6584. The collection covers 100 years of American quilting history and can be an inspiration to any quilter who loves traditional quilts and their histories. It is suggested that groups attend together rather than just one or two individuals in consequence of the time spent traveling to the museum. We are currently looking for an assistant to also help in showing the quilts. Someone who lives in the greater Salt Lake City area would be very helpful. Call Elaine if you are interested.
