Class Description: :  Fabric is an up close and tactile way of expressing the creative impulse. Create an imaginary flower by using fabric like a paint brush stroke. The brush stroke can be     linear, to direct the eye, or textural, to add     shading and depth. A simple flower pattern is the first ingredient. A pleasing combination of fabrics with directional lines and textural effects to create shading is next. A range of lights, mediums, and darks helps add depth to the petals. A few accent fabrics that add highlights and interest completes the design. This flower is only the beginning. This technique can be used in all types of quilt design.
