Class Description: Make a classic quilt using modern techniques. There are no Y seams in this quilt! This easy tumbling blocks quilt is an example of quilts made to look three dimensional through color and value placement. At first glance the pattern looks quite complex because it seems to involve lots of inset Y seams, but in fact the blocks can be subdivided so that all the seams are straight. All diamonds and triangles are rotary cut, which means no fussing with templates. Pieced in vertical rows, it is an easy and quick technique. The quilt measures roughly 38 inches by 38 inches, but can be made larger with more tumbling blocks in the center.
