Class Description: Dresdens, What could be more delightful than the common Dresden Plate, unless it is several uncommon plates that you have created. Let your imagination take flight and learn how to make the Dresden with cutouts, Inserted pieces, folds, various prints, gradations and other styles. In 2014 My Kaffe and Friends group hung 25 quilts at the HMQS show where multiples of uncommon Dresdens delighted the viewer and we are hopeful that several of these quilts will be shown in class. Join us as we spend the day exploring the vast world of the Dresden Plate.
Class Supply List: Sewing machine in good working order, rotary cutter, mat and 6in x 12in ruler. BSK. You will also need the EZ Dresden ruler, and the 30 degree Dresden ruler, Simply EZ 30 degree.. Both are by Darlene Zimmerman and are available at JoAnn's or your quilt shop. Freezer paper, paper scissors, ink pen.
Fabric, you will need 1/4 yd. pieces of at least 14 different fabrics. You may make these all match, as in one collection, or you may use stash yardage. This is NOT a finished quilt, although it could be, but you are making samples for further reference. Small little scrap pieces will NOT work for this class. I will have some fabrics for sale for a few of the special Dresdens we will be making
