Class Description: Recreate this child’s quilt from Pennsylvania, circa 1870. This little scrap quilt (27”x27”) with high visual impact is made of strips from my 1” scrap basket, a part of my “One Inch Wonder” series. It can be made as a stand-alone spot of color for your home, a   baby quilt, or it can be the first of a set of blocks for a       dramatic large quilt. No two will be exactly alike…I just know that it is FUN! FUN! FUN!

Class Supply List: Come to class with your scrap         basket. (You could also use 1.25”, 1.5”, or 2” strips!) If you want continuity in your light and dark rows, you will want to cut more strips. You can never have too many 1”strips!! ;)

Supply List: 22 light strips 1”x wof (42”ish)

  • 22 dark or medium strips 1” x wof
  • 1 – 3.5”square for center
  • 4 – 1”x1”dark squares for first row of points
  • 2 - 5" squares for corners
  • Rotary cutter, mat, and rulers…6”x24”, 6”x 12” ish, no absolute size, just one you are comfortable with that is shorter than 18”
  • Sewing machine BSK
