Class Description: Come join us on a trip over the rainbow! Celebrate the teacher's (and many of yours) favorite song from the movie, made into a fun interpretation of Munchkin Land! We will be learning a simple technique to make ruched trees and some basic embroidery stitches to embellish your wall hanging. The teacher will provide treats! You should already know and be comfortable with basic paper piecing for this class. Feel free to wear your ruby slippers...

Class Supply List: Variety of scraps in red, orange, yellow, green, blue and red for flying geese units and houses.

• 1/2 yard background sky in grey or black
• fat quarter of light sky (I used newsprint fabric)
• fat quarter of blue fabric for bluebirds
• 1/2 yard green for grass
• Fat quarter of yellow for Yellow Brick Road,
• 1/4 inch cut dark green/teal fabric for ruched trees and stop border
• 1/2 yard outer border fabric,
• Embroidery floss: Red, orange, yellow, green (to match your stop border), blue, and purple. Think Rainbow!
• Sewing machine, BSK,
• paper and fabric scissors,
• embroidery needle
