Class Description: New rolls & new strip sizes... for me that equals new ideas for traditional patterns!  I first spotted these types of blocks in quilts from the early 1800's and quickly fell in love with their fresh and contemporary look. When MODA came out with their newest roll, I knew it was time to whip up a few of these simple strip pieced stars. Our signature star method doesn't use any templates or "y" seams and each block is simply strip pieced and assembled as an 8 part star. Don't miss out on these great stars block that looks so much more complicated than they really are. Wonderful in bights, reproduction fabrics or our Fig Tree fabrics... of course :-)

 Class Supply List:

• 1 Sweat Roll (or Honey bun) or (36) 1 1/2” strips ( if you want to use more of the strong colors & omit the lighter tones or vice versa & have more fabric choices, use (2) rolls instead of one)
• 1 3/4 yard butter cream or tan background
• 1/4 yard green posts
• 1 yard Rose cream print sashing
• 5/8 yard Inner Border
• 1 1/4 yard Outer Border
• 3 3/4 yard Backing
• 5/8 yard Binding
