Class Description:  A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is used to assemble the units required to make these placemats. Curved piecing is used to join the units after the foundation piecing is completed. There are several new techniques in the construction of this piece. If you’re a seasoned Judy Niemeyer fan, check them out. This is a beautiful piece that will add fun and color to any table or décor.

Class Supply List:

1. Sewing Machine with a quarter inch foot (without guard) or an open toe foot

2. 4 - 1 gallon zip bags

3. Box of jumbo paper clips (not binder clips)

4. Rotary cutter, mat and 6” x 24” rotary cutting ruler for cutting yardage

5. Medium size mat for trimming

6. Add a quarter ruler, preferable 12” Plus or Optional Combo pack with 6” and 12”

7. Folding template (3” X 12” piece of template plastic)   (3” X 6” for 6” add a quarter)

8. #70 sharp needle

9. Good 50 wt. thread

10. UHU glue stick (or similar product)

11. Fabric glue pen

12. Small scissors and seam ripper
