Anne Munoz, from Holiday, UT has received an Honorable Mention award for Art Painted Surface at the International Quilt Festival for her quilt “Perfect Storm”

Sue McCarty, from UT has received the Pfaff Master award for Machine Artistry at the International Quilt Festival for her quilt “Tribute to Tolkien” along with $5,000.  This quilt was also shown at the Home Machine Quilting Show.

Marilyn Badger, also from UT was one of the Judges at the International Quit Festival. She judged for 3 days and 12 hours each day.

Sandra Starley of Moab, UT received an honorable mention Viewers Choice award in the 2009 Alliance for American Quilts Crazy Quilt competition.  Her quilt, A Bit Dotty, which is a Crazy Quilt is 16" square and has 125 different black, white and hot pink fabrics.  The 85 donated quilts were auctioned on eBay back in October to benefit the Alliance in their efforts to document and save quilt history.
