Entry Paperwork: All entry paperwork and a photograph of the quilt must reach the Quilt Show Coordinator by midnight September 1, 2023. The easiest way to enter is online: click the appropriate box above.
Put your Quilt Entry in the Cart and pay the entry fee if you have 2 total quilts entered, judged and/or display only.
Entry Drop Off Instructions:
Deliver your quilt(s) to selected shops between September 4-12, 2023.
Awards Presentation: The awards will be presented on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Evening Opening Gala. The Quilt Show will be open October 11-14, 2023 Wed, Thurs, Fri hours are 10am-5pm, Sat 10am-2:30pm. The Viewer’s Choice awards will be presented on Saturday, October 14, 2023 during the UQG Business Meeting.
Entry Pick-up: The Quilt Show will end at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Quilts will be available for pick-up at approximately 4:00 p.m. Sorry, but we cannot accommodate the early release of any quilts. To prove ownership, please have identification or your entry form ready.

Novice (Solo Artist) – Someone who has finished 6 or fewer quilts or has been quilting for less than 3 years. This person has not won a Best of Category, 1st or 2nd place ribbon in previous quilting competitions, such as Quilt Fest, Springville, or nationally recognized shows (QuiltCon, Road to California, etc), or a Sweepstakes award in a State Fair. The quilt was entirely prepared by a single artist.
Novice (Joint Artist) – Someone who has finished 6 or fewer quilts or has been quilting for less than 3 years. This person has not won a Best of Category, 1st or 2nd place ribbon in previous quilting competitions, such as Quilt Fest, Springville, or nationally recognized shows (such as QuiltCon, Road to California, etc), or a Sweepstakes award in a State Fair. The top is prepared by the submitting artist and there was assistance in either the making of the top, or in the quilting of the quilt. Quilt top maker(s) may have significant input into how the top is quilted. A maximum of 2 people participated in the creation of the quilt.
Hobbyist (Solo Artist) – Someone who pursues quilting as a hobby. The Hobbyist may have won up to 3 ribbons, not counting a Best of Show. If the artist has won a best of show, you are considered part of the Champion Class. This top is prepared by the submitting artist and was quilted by the top maker. The quilt was entirely prepared by a single artist.
Hobbyist (Joint Artist) – Someone who pursues quilting as a hobby. The Hobbyist may have won up to 3 ribbons, not counting a Best of Show. If the artist has won a best of show, you are considered part of the Champion Class. This top is prepared by the submitting artist(s) and was quilted by one of the top makers, or someone else. Quilt top maker(s) may have significant input into how the top is quilted. A maximum of 2 people participated in the creation of the quilt.

Youth (up to age 18): Must be 18 and under as of October 1, 2023
Entry Category Definitions: Ribbons and monetary prizes will be awarded in each judged class.
Please select the best class for your quilt entry. You must select a single class for each quilt you enter. Each person is only allowed to enter TWO quilts total to be judged. (Be aware your two quilts may compete against each other if they are in the same class.) The number of prizes awarded in each class will be based on the percentage of entries in that class.
In addition to the awards based on percentages of quilts entered in each class above, ribbons and monetary awards will be provided for the following.

Quilt Rules
A quilt is defined as having three distinct layers – a top, middle and backing. Quilting stitches must penetrate all three layers and be visible on the back. Quilt edge must be finished with some sort of binding or facing. Art quilts may contain some areas with fewer layers of materials. Quilts perimeters must be between 40" (10"x10") and 480"(120"x120").
