Class Description - Adventures in Bargello or your choices really do matter.

Bargello quilts exhibit beautiful flow and movement with gradated fabric color choices. They look so difficult but are actually easily made with straight sewing and properly placed strip sets. There are pressing, cutting and color choice tricks that make a big difference between a project that gets you to your destination and one that leaves you lost. This class will teach those tips and tricks needed to make your Bargello adventure fun. A small table runner or wall quilt project that allows you to practice those techniques will take you where you want to go. In class you will create 2 segments of Bargello which can be rotated several different ways for striking results. For a longer table runner or larger wall hanging, more segments can be easily added.

Class Supply List - 1/4 yard of 9 different fabrics. Make sure that there is color and value separation between each fabric. If you are concerned about your choices bring your fabric to class before cutting. You will need two width of fabric 2 1/2" strips cut from each of the 9 fabrics. A jelly roll will work as long as there is enough color difference between each of the fabrics. Choose fabrics that read as solids. Large and busy prints do not work well. Glue stick and paper.
