Class Description-

Have you been longing to design your own quilts? Or would you like to create a plan for how you will quilt your newest project? There are many programs to help you design patchwork, but programs to help you create your own appliqué – or anything with curvy lines for that matter – are almost non-existent. Explore the beauty, ease and flexibility of digital drawing using Inkscape, a free design program for both Windows and MacOS X. Learn how to create a drawing that you can take in any direction, from a simple block to a professional-quality quilt pattern.  You will work alongside Jaimie as she teaches you how to use Inkscape’s many tools to reproduce a pattern from start to finish, design a quilt, and then tweak that design to make it your own. No drawing experience is necessary: bring your basic computer skills and your imagination, and watch your design come to life!
