Did you know that a certain cotton thread could be ruched up to make a beautiful 3 dimensional stem on a flower? Did you know that you could stitch a life like bee using bullion stitches in black and yellow pearl cotton? Altogether your design could be a fun way to show off these different techniques and remind you of fun stitches you learned in 2023.
This class is a handworked project teaching embellishments of wool, silk, and velvet applique.
The finished project can be completed as a wall hanging, a pillow or a table mat.
You will learn how to make: 1. embossed velvet flowers 2. silk flowers 3. wool and cork leaves 4. 3 dimensional flowers 5. 4 different flower stems 6. an embroidered bee 7. yo-yos 8. Dorset Button.You will learn many different embroidery stitches to embellish your flowers.
