Stylish quilted jacket on a sweatshirt base

Quilted clothing Is enjoying a resurgence right now.  Come and make a stylish jacket on a comfortable sweatshirt base. Your unique jacket will showcase your love of quilting and fashion sense. With extra blocks and coordinating fabrics you will create a one-of-a-kind comfy quilted jacket. The entire base will be covered in blocks and fabric. Quilt as you go methods and basic straight line machine quilting will adhere your blocks and fabrics to the sweatshirt base.  Get your creative juices going and jump start a fabulous new use for your leftover blocks!

Requirements:
Machine Required? YES Class Supply List: Basic sweatshirt, NO RAGLAN SLEEVES, ZIPPERS OR HOODS. Two sizes larger than your normal size or get the largest size available, which will help with fitting and it will be cut down to the correct size. Your sweatshirt will be cut apart before the the blocks are attached. If you want to cut your sweatshirt apart before class contact the teacher for instructions. Prewash sweatshirt. Random quilt blocks with coordinating fabrics ( enough to cover sweatshirt base). We will not be making the exact jacket from the photos because you will be using YOUR blocks. Wash away marking pen or pencil that will contrast with chosen fabrics. Walking foot ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! We will be doing basic straight line machine quilting however, this is NOT a machine quilting technique class. Large sharp scissors, 5 Yards bias binding, You an purchase the binding or make your own to contrast or blend with your blocks. long ruler, BSK, Optional - 1 Yard Iron on stabilizer Included in Kit: None
