Sashiko is a striking traditional Japanese embroidery style which is relaxing, inexpensive, and easy to master. You will learn about its origin and how to draft out and stitch the grid-based designs. After practicing the unique stitching style we will make 3 blocks which can be sewn into coasters, pin cushions, quilt blocks, etc. Come learn this time-honored art form and see how it could bring something new to your quilting projects!

- white marking tools, such as air or heat erasable markers, quilters chalk pencil,
