613-22 Thursday Lunch and Speaker -- Judy Elsley – Coping with Cancer through Quilts

Judy Elsley, WSU Professor, author, designer, quilter and artist will speak about how her creative spirit helped her to navigate a journey through breast cancer.  She will display quilts that she made on her road to recovery.

Judy Elsley was born and raised in England. She taught English at Weber State University for 26 years until her retirement in 2016.

When she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, she coped with the challenge by making quilts to document her journey back to health.

Judy’s quilts are constructed entirely from her hand-dyed and printed fabrics. Every quilt is one-of-a-kind that she designs herself.
